Charlie's Grandfather, Lew (or Papa), brought his family to Deadwood in the 1950's after he got out of the U.S. Army. His picture hangs in Deadwood City Hall, as a member of the Deadwood Hall of Fame. It is hard to describe just how special Lew's relationship was with his granddaughter Charlie, she was his Pard. Lew was the one that gave Charlie her name. Lew's great love and respect for Deadwood's History has been passed on to Charlie, something she holds very dear.
Charlie lives on Taylor Avenue in Deadwood with her husband Jason and their 4 dogs - Pappy, Chopper, Jade, and Betty. They also have a cat named Maze (also known as the Furry Prince of Taylor Avenue). Charlie is very close with her Mom, Lori Keehn-Moore who also lives in Deadwood, along with many other members of the family. This includes her brother Skyler, Aunt Louie, and cousins Toby, Ruben, Josh, & Levi. The Keehn family is known for their many contributions to the community, including helping those in need, fundraising, and charitable contributions.
For over 60 years, Charlie's family has owned and operated the Old Style Saloon #10 on Main Street in Deadwood.
Whether it is her biological family, her work family at the #10, the team at Deadwood Custom Cycles, or the family that is the Deadwood City Employees, Charlie holds all relationships special in her life.
